Perfectly Ruined by Emily Jane Trent

Set in Italy I knew right away I would love this book. From the culture to the food and of course the gorgeous sophistication of the Italian male. Niccolo returns to Italy after a 4 year absence. His father figured moving him back to Italy would set him on the right path but it wasn't the place as much as it was a person. Karina and Niccolo were childhood friends and he returns to find that she has grown into a beautiful woman with many responsibilities. A business she must keep afloat and a mother who lives with a temperamental disease. It seems it was perfect timing on Nic's part and thanks to his stubbornness or his love for the girl it changed not just his life but hers as well. Nic no longer wondering aimlessly through life has found happiness with the girl he loves and in a profession he is now making a very good living at. Which I think is all his father ever wanted for him to just have some direction and to learn to grow up. I wish I had a man who would fight to not just keep me in his life but protect my family at the same time. I love how all the childhood moments the will he or won't he came full circle. The moments on the bridge touch my heart (especially the ending). After all the betrayal and thoughts of not being good enough they finally found a home and a love in each other. What touched me most is the fact the her mother seems to be doing much better. I know how fickle a disease like that can be and the fact that Karina would have given up happiness to make sure her mother got the help she deserved...well I can see why Nic fell in love with her.

Taint by S.L. Jennings

From the moment I read the blurb and saw the cover I knew it would be a long wait until I was able to read this book. I would have gotten this book just to stare at the cover but the story left me more than captivated. Justice Drake a certified sexpert who helps the marriages of the whose who of page six. He gives women the confidence they lost along the way to becoming a wife, mother, and homemaker. Once I started reading I rarely but it down. Filled with love and a plot twist I in no way saw coming. Did I mention the entire was from his POV? Justice Drake was force to be reckoned with, who command attention. Which left me wanting more. Please tell me there will be more JD for me in the future!?

Reasonable Doubt: Volume 2 (Reasonable Doubt #2) by Whitney Gracia Williams

Just when you think Andrew has turned a corner in his 'relationship' with Aubrey ''the wife' shows up. In this installment it was from Andrew's.POV which I absolutely loved. We glimpses into what Aubrey was up to as well. We find the her parents are more concerned about the father's political aspirations than what makes their daughter happy. The closer Andrew and Aubrey get the closer he gets to trusting and that's something he can't afford. Something monumental happened in his past that stole the family he once had and turned him into the cold man he is today. What exactly unfolded in his past? I have no idea but I hope he realizes in Aubrey he has someone he can trust.

Knockout (Wayward Fighters #1) by J.C. Valentine

I've been 'hooked' on MMA style books since I fell in love with a previous series. I absolutely loved this book. Ally was from an abusive home and Jami was the boy who always protected her. Although years had passed what was a crush between to kids turned a love neither of them could have seen coming. Ally is determined to save women from the life she grew up with. If anyone understands wait these women went through it would be Ally. Going beyond the call of duty to save one of her clients may have been the most dangerous and selfless thing she has ever done. This is a psychological drama in and out of the ring. Though somehow through it all love happened. The fight scenes were absolutely stellar, I held my breath with each page and word read. The drama that lies ahead in the next installment I will be dreading and excited to see.

Reaper's Legacy (Reapers MC #2) by Joanna Wylde

Even better than the first installment. In this story we follow the love story of Ruger and Sophia. Sophia and Ruger on less than ideal circumstances. Sophia and her BF Zack (Ruger's step brother) just finished making love in his apartment UN-invited. This will be the first of awkward moments the pair would have. Years later they are still brimming with sexual tension but are working together due to an absentee father. The more time they spend together they realize they have more in common than just Noah. While their love story grows the on going battle between their enemies the Devil's Jacks heats up and shows no signs of cooling off. What happened between Em and Liam while she was captured? I hope to figure this out in the next installment.

Fighting for Flight (Fighting #1) by J.B. Salsbury

I thought that this was the typical sabe the bad boy from himself while redeem himself and falls in love type of story. This couldn't have been further from the truth. Slade was a force to be reckoned with in and out the octagon. Typical ladies man never with the same woman twice until he meets the woman that changed his world around. Raven Moretti daughter of a notorious pimp and call girl and a mechanic. Somehow things between them click even after he learns who her family is. Raven longed for human interaction something she never got as a child which lead her to start a life of her own. With less than a handful of friends something in her life was missing until Jonah came along. He's more than willing to give her everything she's missing and more. Both of them found love for the first time but all of that could be but a memory if Rave's pimp father has anything to say about. Dominick set to get what's his but will do anything and sacrifice anything to keep her safe.Well developed love story, the fight scenes were amazing which is essential in a book about an MMA fighter. Loved Owen and I absolutely adore Blake. He almost stole the show for me. Sorry Jonah but he is funny don't be jealous I have room to love you both.

Freed (Unlovable #2) by Lynetta Halat

Finally an conclusion of sorts. Denver and Ransom were able to define and build their relationship. First things first Denver had to fully repair her broken relationship with Greer and her parents. After seeing what a parent and relationship was like when she visited Ransom and his mom over the holiday. After many years past to not have a hug or a parent tell you they love you... no wonder she was so broken. I'm finally happy to see that Denver had made inroads to being friends though not as close as they once were but its no longer awkward between them. I'm mostly happy that Greer is finally getting the help he needs and learns that all they will ever be is just friends. Which is fine with me because Denver and Ransom were made for each other. We had to wait until the very end but their 'first time' was worth the wait and a little of a shock but beautiful nonetheless. I'd love to read what becomes of Greer. Denver found her meant to be I think its only fair that he finds his.

Sinners at the Altar (Sinners on Tour, #6) by Olivia Cunning

Of all the weddings between the band I think I enjoyed Jace and Aggie's the most. Usually Jace is a man of a few words, who lets his actions speak for themselves. Seeing how much Aggie has helped him heal and how he did the same for her made me happy. Not to say the other weddings weren't great (who knew Eric was such a romantic?) but Jace and Aggie just touched my heart the most. I'm pretty sure people never thought Jace could find love and happiness but he did. His wedding vows just took my breath away. Just hearing speak from his heart knowing he's the shy one of the group made me love him just a little bit more. I look forward to the next Sinners installment. I know Trey refuses to get married him in his interesting relationship and all but I could do with more of him in the next book he is after all my fave.

Knox: Volume 4 (Knox, #4) by Cassia Leo

We join Knox as he tirelessly searches for the love of his life Rebecca. Even after Tony reveals who he is to Knox nothing will detour him from finding out where Rebecca is. Before he can either beat or likely kill the information out of him and agent he agreed to work with shoots him out of his haze. After Tony is brought down all he has to do know is find 'her'. Once he finds her he keeps a dying father's wish that he marries her after his kept her safe 2 or 3 years. We see what they are like together now they are a ever expanding family. How everyone has found their own version of happiness. Its nice to see that the years has only heighten their love and desire for each other. This series had the perfect blend of action and romance. Nothing over the top yet the story just pulls you in and before you know it its over. As a fan of the mob genre this was a series I will definitely read more than once.

Reaper's Property (Reapers MC, #1) by Joanna Wylde

Not the typical way to start a romance but it was interesting nonetheless. Marie loves her brother so much that she gives herself to the club in order to save him after he gets in trouble with the MC. Horse and Marie already had an interesting relationship when she moved in with her brother. What made this book for me was the goings on in the club. The loyalty and the double crossing. It was like one of my favorite MC shows only in book form. By the end I was left wanting more and as much as I loved Horse I would've enjoyed the story a little more minus some scenes. I look forward to getting to know more about these characters and their enemies.

Alpha by Jasinda Wilder

I read this book based on the blurb that immediately commanded my attention. Why would anyone think that cashing in 12 $10,000 checks was such a great idea especially when you don't even know who sent them? When it was time collect Kyrie had no choice but to leave. In the beginning it just seemed like another rich guy displaying ownership. As time went on you knew there was something to Roth. Yes he was filthy rich and could get any woman he wanted but you just knew there was a reason why he took a special interest in Kyrie. From the first night (although she was blindfolded) you could see the chemistry between them. Once they got together it was explosive. They both found that they were falling for each other but a secret hung between the two of them. Once the secret was revealed it left Kryrie thrown for a loop and left Roth wondering if he lost the only woman he ever loved and trusted. He knew Kyrie needed time to process what he told her but he made it perfectly clear she was his and always would be. I love when I can read a book and can't quite guess the outcome. Who wants to read a predictable book? I was pretty satisfied with the outcome especially since it was in Roth's POV. It was a standalone but I think I could take another book or two containing the gorgeous Valentine Roth.
